The PLOT SEAT With Alex the Astronaut!

Last week, we surprised our mate Alex The Astronaut with a field trip to The Sydney Observatory! We learnt all about space and stars while she chatted ‘Not Worth Hiding’ and what she would pack on a space expedition!

We got to try out Australia’s oldest working telescope: Fun fact, it was built by Hugo Schroeder in 1874 to view the transit of Venus (where Venus passes in front of the sun, occurring less than twice a century!)

Another fun fact we also learnt: Parramatta was originally spelt with one ‘r’!
